The Ministry of Water Resources continues its work to clean tables and rivers in the province of Basra
The Directorate of Water Resources in Basrah Governorate continues its work by clearing streams and rivers with the aim of securing the water shares of the palm and vegetable orchards and delivering them to the river end tails.
The work included removing the shumbalan, reeds, papyrus and mud sediments from Al-Saeed pump and its branches on the Mohammadi River, which is part of the Khalifa River, and preparing it for the agricultural plan for this year.
On the other hand, the Directorate of Water Resources in Wasit Governorate, in coordination with the administration of the project of the Kut dam, monitored the Tigris River at the end of Kut, in order to follow up the flow of the river and secure water shares to the governorates of Maysan and Basra.
The Ministry continues its work diligently to improve the reality of irrigation in all governorates.
