The Ministry of Water Resources Continues it’s Work to Clean up and Clear the Rivers of Ashar and Khandaq in the province of Basra

The technical and engineering staff of the Directorate of Water Resources in Basra continued their work by cleaning, clearing and opening bottlenecks in the rivers of Ashar and Khandaq  by using specialized and supporting machineries to rid the rivers of dirt and mud sediments and give an aesthetic touch to these two rivers because of their importance and historical depth in the city of Basra.

The ministry determines to preserve the historic status of these two rivers and to preserve them as an integral part of Basra's history.
